Suzanne Clothier Seminar | PDF Registration*

Friday, November 30 - Sunday, December 2, 2012

Please join us for a fun, fascinating weekend with one of the dog training world's "trainer of trainers", Suzanne Clothier. Her Relationship Centered Training approach has influenced trainers around the world, and she is well respected for her holistic, relationship-centered approach to dogs and the people who love them. Suzanne Clothier has been working with animals professionally since 1977, with a deep background of experience that includes obedience, agility, puppy testing, breeding, Search & Rescue, conformation, instructing, kennel management and canine midwifery.

The weekend will include a combination of lectures, dog observations, and group exercises that will have you spellbound at what is possible in the relationship between you and your dog. You'll learn to improve and deepen your relationship, all the while marveling at Suzanne's experience and insight into WHY dogs do what they do. You'll come away knowing that dogs learn and perform in the context of the relationship with their handler as well as the broader context of environment and physical and social limits.

This is not an obedience or agility seminar. In a unique reversal of roles, the dogs will serve as the teachers. The importance of the relationship as the foundation for all training is woven through every step. We will learn to see the dog's point of view, understand the cultural perspectives of both handler and dog, how our communication and leadership styles vary, and to always honor and respect the lessons the dogs bring us.
