Canine Emergency First Aid Workshop | $20 | RSVP
Saturday 2pm – 4:30pm | October 29
Have you ever wondered what you can do to save your dog's life until you can get to an emergency vet or to your own veterinary clinic?
Dr. Jeanne Sutich will present a workshop at Cloud Nine on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. where you will learn how to perform canine CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver, how to stabilize a broken limb, how to stop bleeding, how to take a dog's temperature and how to give medication.
She will also discuss what to do if your dog experiences heat stroke, has a seizure, goes into shock, has a life-threatening allergic reaction, becomes poisoned, has severe vomiting and/or diarrhea as well what symptoms/situations are life threatening and warrant immediate attention of a veterinarian and when you can wait until your own vet clinic opens the next day. She will even provide a list of items that everyone should have on hand for a well-stocked doggie first aid kit.
Well-behaved dogs who can be quiet in their crate may accompany you to the workshop.
Please use the contact us form with the subject line "First Aid Workshop" to register for this workshop.
This first-time offering is limited to current Cloud Nine students.
