Sunday 4pm | Feb. 5 – March 18 | no class Feb. 19

Footwork for Fun is a gentle dance/movement class to help you improve your proprioception, balance, footwork, and core strength so you can keep up with your performance dog! This unique class, taught by dancer Lucy Rahn, will address the following:

  • Breathing exercises: Great for helping you focus when preparing to run your dog.
  • Isolation exercises: Core strength, balance and body awareness.
  • Dancing: You will learn short routines each week that will help with memorization (translates well when trying to remember courses), coordination, and footwork.
  • Stretching: More proprioception and balance improvement.

Please wear comfortable clothing and sneakers or you may dance barefoot for greater body awareness. Bring some water for yourself although there is cold pop and water (self serve from the refrigerator - $1/can or bottle). Lucy will offer modifications for each exercise, so if you have any type of physical limitation you can still actively participate.

No prerequisite to participate.
