Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Testing | $10/team | RSVP

"Dogs who have a solid obedience education are a joy to live with - they respond well to household routines, have good manners in the presence of people and other dogs, and they fully enjoy the company of the owner who took the time to provide training, intellectual stimulation, and a high quality life."

The American Kennel Club instituted the Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Program in 1989 as a way to recognize owners and dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The program stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

Details of exercises that the dog and handler must pass can be viewed on the AKC's web site.

We hold CGC tests at Cloud Nine on a quarterly basis. Please use the contact us form with the subject line "CGC Testing" to register for the test; include your dog's name, age and breed.
