Accolades for Cloud Nine Dog Training School

Hi Dawn,

Just want to let you know how much I am enjoying classes @ Cloud Nine. So much fun, and lots of individualized instruction. Reggie is really getting beyond his shy self!

Thanks much and see you next week.

Dawn,

I love your class, that was so good for Ty. I have a hard time finding a class I like and that was GREAT!

Thanks,
Kathy, Brooklyn Park (sent on December 6, 2011)

Dawn,

Thanks again for coming over regarding Emmie. We are seeing improvement already! Yeah!! She seems to be enjoying what we are doing.

Dawn,

I referred a friend to Cloud 9. I am so impressed with the group class. She has two rescue dogs and walking with them is a challenge. Hope you can help her. Senge and I are trying our new routines . . . Have a wonderful day.

Thanks,
Pam & Senge the Lhasa Apso, Brooklyn Park (sent on September 28, 2011)

Thank you so much! Rocco did well today at petco puppy play time....he acted like "the mayor". Your puppy preschool really works. See you Wednesday :)

Many thanks, Kathy, Minnetonka (sent on July 30, 2011)

Hi Dawn,

I just want to tell you how impressed I am with your classes and the process you use. I have left the last two classes with Tilly not really catching on to the newly introduced material. But by following your process something clicks. It's like magic! Not that we don't have a long way to go but each week we are one step closer to a dog with good manners. And an owner that is better trained!

Thanks,
Patty & Tilly, Minnetonka (sent on May 11, 2011)

Good Morning Dawn!

I wanted to let you know how impressed with and grateful we are for your program. Luna's learned so much so quickly and is really a great pup. Thanks for all the guidance!

Hi Dawn:

Thanks again for all your expertise and support over the last seven weeks. We're so glad we found Cloud 9 Training!

Dear Dawn,

It has been about six months since you came to advise Happy and I on how to become housetrained. Thanks to your suggestions, Happy has not had an accident since your visit.

Your advice to tie her leash to me didn't work so well, but we did keep her with us as you suggested, by closing doors and putting up gates for about six weeks, so she never had the opportunity to sneak off. We also followed your advice to put a cat bell on her, so we know where she is, and we have kept that on to this day. She now is in the habit of either waiting for us to take her out, or she will go downstairs and patiently wait by the door until we figure out she has disappeared.

Today she was even more direct. She woke up, walked up to me, and growled excitedly, then headed for the door! Thank you so much! It would have been a long 14 years had we not had your help. I hope your business is going well.

Hi Dawn,

I just wanted to share the good new with you that Murray passed the TDI test today! Yeah! It was as if a good dog came and possessed his body during the testing - ha. He was outstanding. Your class was REALLY an excellent preparation for the test. Everything was just like you said it would be. Thanks for all you do! Murray will bring much joy to hospice patients.

Good Morning Dawn:

I wanted to tell you that I really appreciate the class and the size of the class. Joe has progressed more in just a couple of weeks at Cloud 9 just because the class is small enough that we actually get equipment time and some 1:1 instruction. [The other school] is great, but with 15 in the class, we did an inordinate amount of standing around and a significant amount of "basics", which Joe already knew from being in obedience. They spend way too much time on downs, heels, and some of the fundamentals. I recognize the importance of these fundamentals, but being in obedience for 2 years, we were doing pretty well by the time we were finally off the agility wait list (15 months) and could join foundations.

Thank you,
Julibeth & Joe the Sheltie, Minneapolis

Hi Dawn,

Both Lydia and I are very grateful for all the time and effort you have put into helping us with Cassie. We always enjoyed our classes and the agility training is the most enjoyable thing I have ever done with a dog. I'll keep her doing this on our home equipment because we have so much fun with it. We enjoyed you, your classes and the nice people we met at Cloud Nine. Lydia and I wish you all the best.

Dawn,

Thanks so much for Wednesday's class! Thursday morning I took Mikko for a walk, and it was actually pleasant. There were still barking issues, and the spray bottle's wrath has been felt by Mikko, but there is definately comfort in knowing I have some control over the situation. I'm sure, with consistent reward and the gentle discipline, the barking will subside in no time at all. Thanks again for the tips, see you next Wednesday.

Krystal & Mikko

Hey Dawn:

I have to say you have such a great bunch of students; they really are there for the love of training and working with their dogs and make it a place where it is okay for other handlers to make mistakes and fail with their own dogs. I don't get the feeling they are judging others and they can laugh with students when things go wrong, which is not what I have experienced at other places. That is a tribute to the trainer they have as it's you who set the standard.

Your "down" worked great on Reese, I know it must have been your voice and body language, but I have to tell you when she gets the zoomies I have not seen anyone (other trainers) be able to get her to do that, so I am in total awe!

Sarah & Reese the BC, St. Cloud, MN

Hi Dawn:

I am so happy with your approach! Day one and Jackson has learned touch and sit without hand cue. He has also figured out the attention drill but glances very quickly at me before returning his focus to the treat. Is that ok? You are right he is EXHAUSTED from our short little drills!

Best - Lin & Jackson the Yellow Lab, Minnetonka
